DIY Project, A New Line That I Love, Make Up Find & More! Musings 18

Welcome to Morning Musings once again, a personal post that I share from time to time with a little bit of this and that! The format may change slightly, depending upon what I have to talk about. So grab a cup of coffee ☕️ and join me!

LET’S GET PERSONAL

We hope to head to our beach place for a few days this weekend and have peace of mind that our daughter and a pet sitter keep close tabs here. Over this past weekend my husband and I began working on a new DIY project that I’ll reveal soon. I’m waiting for one of the key materials to arrive this week! You’ll never guess, but here’s an image of some of the painting that I did outside the other day and I swear it must have been 150 degrees out there 🔥😅

WHAT I’M LOVING IN DECOR

I have to give a shout out to my friend Erin of My Texas House and her brand with Walmart. What am I loving? Well I could totally decorate a home with Erin’s collections and have created a board below that will make it easier for you to look. Just click on any image for more information and to shop if you’re so inclined!

For those of you who shop my Amazon storefront you’ll find that here. New items are added daily!

One more mention…aFloral is a favorite place to shop for florals and they now carry these realistic faux garlands and just look at these incredible fluted pillar candles! I ordered two and they are close to selling out, so hurry over!

WHAT I’M WEARING

Some of YOU are now wearing this striped oversized poplin shirt from Talbots that I mentioned last week. I have it and love the slimming effect of vertical stripes! Speaking of slimming, are you brave enough to wear these faux leather leggings? I ordered myself a pair and feel that they are perfectly acceptable for women of any age, depending on how you style them. I will be covering my behind with something like this long quilted vest or this quilted shirt jacket. I’m also a fan of these stretch corduroy pants and they all tie in well with these stunning leopard loafers (named Janet!). Smart of Talbots to name something Janet, which is my name and I think not one that has been used in decades for babies. That to me indicates they mostly cater to the over 50 crowd and they have ALL SIZE ranges including plus and plus petites. Good for you Talbots!

Don’t forget that I have an Amazon Storefront with this great selection of women’s clothing and it’s been doing well…so I thank you!

BEAUTY PRODUCTS I’M USING

Have you heard of Ogee Organics yet? I totally got sucked into a Facebook ad that kept popping up and this is what I purchased. It’s what I wear now to contour, blush and highlight my skin and the quality is A+ in my book!

WHAT I’M COOKING & EATING

We finally have a couple of options for healthier eating around here, and one of them delivers! Since the pandemic I’ve become more and more reliant on deliveries because I’m busy and it makes life easier. This bowl is from the restaurant Bolay, which has locations all over Florida. I’m not sure if they are anywhere else, but they are expanding so check it out! The dishes are all customizable and this one consists of basmati rice, steamed broccoli, tofu in a delicious sauce, cilantro and a light sauce. Seriously I could eat this daily…it’s that good. If you live in Florida then check them out.

WHAT I’M WATCHING

My obsession with period dramas continues with The Forsyte Saga on Amazon Prime Video. It’s described as “an epic drama spanning three generations of the powerful Forsyte family at the turn of the 20th century. Beneath the family’s imposing veneer lies a festering core of unhappy and brutal relationships.” It’s good, as is most on Masterpiece Theatre but a little slow in dragging on. Let me know what you think. I do recommend the movie Colette on Netflix if you haven’t caught that one yet. It takes place in Paris at the turn of the century and is based on the life of Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (played by Keira Knightly). who is struggling with her identity as she ghostwrites for her publisher husband.

BEFORE YOU GO

I’m excited to be one of Google’s paid early testers for their Thank with Google pilot program! Thank with Google is an experimental feature that allows you to purchase a virtual sticker and directly show your appreciation for the content directly here on my blog.

There are a variety of stickers to select from and every time you send a paid sticker, you can add a personal message which I enjoy receiving. For me, these virtual stickers translate into direct revenue to support the work that goes into the content that you are enjoying on my blog.

You can find the Thank with Google feature in multiple places on my site. I truly thank you (as always) for your support of my work!

Until next time,

  1. I didn’t know you had a clothes page on Amazon. When you click the link is the whole page yours? Love the gold and white stripe sweater.
