Watch What Happened

Boo's a sad day as my favorite TV show, Project Runway ended last night. I know that I am not alone in hoping that at the last minute Bravo TV can pull off a miracle and keep what is their most popular show from being sold to the sappy Lifetime Network. Personally I don't care for much of what is on Lifetime, but I do love Bravo's lineup.
I was always a happy artist when Project Runway marathons were on for the day, as I worked away in my studio with lots of inspiration chattering away from the telly in the corner of my eye. Sorta happy that Leanne I am a fan of her use of pleats in construction and her final collection with it's aqua and white colorway.

I was secretly cheering for Kenly Collins, although the ultimate sarastic girl. Her fashions are girly girl and filled with imagination and her personal "flower in the hair at all times" look is so darned cute.

Speaking of flowers....these were just posted on the website this morning.

End of story ~ have a fabulous day!

  2. Wow, those fooffie dresses are the best! When I was in high school, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer...
    Victoria Lynn

  3. Oh Janet your creations are just gorgeous! So Victorian and Feminine - I have never seen Project Runway! I know it has been a wildly popular show. Hope you are having a wonderful day today!!

  4. I enjoyed Project Runway too, and Leanne was my favorite all the way and a real class act. Kenly got on my nerves a bit..a little to whiny for my taste, BUT she was talented, I will give her that! That wedding dress was amazing.

  5. I've never seen the show but wow, those tulle roses frills are the best!

  6. Thank you for leaving such a nice comment on my blog this morning. I would love to see any photos of your Grandmother's tatting that you mentioned if you are fortunate enough to have any of it with you! That is neat that you had a Grandma who did that. Thanks for sharing that with me, it's sweet.

  7. Hi Janet,
When I heard about this I just had to look it up... Poor Project Runway. Lifetime is a joint venture between Disney Co. and Hearst Corp., it's all starting to make sense now... Wonder what good old Walt would've thought?

Hope you're doing well, I'm so glad to hear Murphy is doing well ;)

  8. Oh Janet! I second EVERYTHING you just said!! Oh my gosh, I cant believe how much we are alike with this, lol! I loved and rooted Kenley on the whole show! But at the end and I saw LeAnns line, I really liked it! Kenley's attitude got on my nerves too, lol! I am really upset that Lifetime will get Project Runway too :(

    Love ya!

  9. I too have never watched that show...

Though the aqua collection is lovely

I like the second ones with the tulle and frills... fascinating...

Nice seque into your designs... I do love your eye for color and your sense of style

  10. I have the radio going when I'm working, I can't work without background noise, Project Runaway sounded very inspirational, will they have a new series?
Your new flowers on your website are luscious!
Hope you are well, yes we need to catch up...never enough time in the day is there
    xo xo

  11. ...hearing no honorable mention for kato's style, i feel compelled to say i thought her looks were kinda cool too. it seemed like i either loved loved loved what she did or went what was she thinking?
although i gotta admit in seasons past, i really loved watching the little catfights behind the scenes. Who couldnt LOVE santino, really? His impersonation of tim gunn was hilarious! and then when he made it to the final 3 and we learned about the tribulations he had gone thorugh to get there, i kinda rooted for him, just because he was santino...
oh and he was the redheaded woman with all the kids?i though her style was impeccable.
Oh lordy, project runway on lifetime-they sure btter "make it work" !!!!
love your stuff! Keep up the most fru fru licious work!
