Shopping My Home...Living Room Spring Fling

I promised to share some images with you of our living room with a Spring Fling of color...so here we go and the photos will do the talking to you instead of me.

Basically I just shopped my own home and moved things around from other areas, which is the beauty of white painted walls and neutral furnishings....

The old chippy wood teal benches are usually outside by the pool and came from an old closed textile mill in No. Carolina some years back....
As a long time collector of pretty things I have a stash of vintage prom dresses in various colors and use them for staging for photo shoots and props...
Vintage McCoy that I have a large stash of too in my favorite aquas...
Aqua, teal, Jadite, turquoise, seafoam...they are all mixed here...

Petticoat pieces, a vintage candelabra sprayed in a bold lime and old millinery...all adding feminine shabbyfufu flair...
And before I pack up my gear for a long weekend that includes an out of town photo shoot for publication... I'm leaving you with this image shot for a client's website.
Still scouting homes to shoot, so feel free to contact me if you feel that yours is "magazine ready"!

xoxo,

Janet

I love that you have a stash of vintage prom dresses.

I have yellow walls and use primary colors in my decorating so everything literally moves from one room to the next. It is so much fun to "shop at home".

Have fun on your photo shoot!

Very lovely Janet. I know you were eliminating things in your home for awhile.... keeping it more simple, but by adding just a little bit makes your room more interesting and gorgeous to me.

Love your touches of blue in both your living and dining room photos from your previous post....very pretty!

I, too like to keep a neutral background so you can mix in pops of color when you feel like changing things up:-)

Enjoy your beautiful home.

Oh how I adore how you stage your home, Janet! Soooo beautiful! I love seeing those petticoat pieces draped here and there. They truly add a romantic feel to a room. I'll definitely be on the lookout for some to add to my own home! :)
