Beach House Blues

The weekend is here and I'm sharing a few images that I shot earlier today while I'm up here at our beach home.

A couple of months ago I posted HERE about replacing a big box store television cabinet with a table that we built using one spotted at Restoration Hardware as our muse. We finally brought the table up to the beach and I've been working on decluttering and styling the table.

I've been searching for just the right antique painted cabinet with authentic chippy paint to store some of these things in and have yet to find one!! Why is it, when you look you can't find? Until I's still a bit cluttered, but coming together for now...

Have a great weekend,

Just beautiful - so serene and summer like - which I desperately need to see right now because it's taking forever for just Spring to get to Montreal!
Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your feature!

Beautiful table Janet! Great vignette items as well! I love the bust covered in shells and the old oil painting with the pelican and palm tree is great! I collect old, small paintings like this. It started with some that my aunt had painted years ago, then I found a couple out thrifting and a collection had begun! I love the cool beach colors and natural items. My basement family room is done this way and it is relaxing and my own version of my "beach house" until I get a real one LOL! Hugs, Leena

You can never go wrong with blue and white. It is such a serene color combination. This is a good tip, use colors close to your environment. Through that, you can stay consistent with the feel of your home.
