Peony And Sage...Linen And Lace

Hello everyone from here at the Shabbyfufu Studio! I have some pretty and romantic images for you today with some of my very favorite things to work with....antique lace and beautiful fabrics...

I was recently sent a metre (about a yard to we Americans:-)) by Kimberley Bell over at Peony And Sage in the U.K. Her fabrics are dreamy and have that coveted faded floral look, and are inspired by vintage fabrics. I'm impressed by the quality of the linen that I received and it's just lovely to work with under the needle of the sewing machine...

I decided to combine this beautiful faded rose linen with some of my antique lace and create a one of a kind throw or tablecloth...a dual purpose piece. The lace that I chose is from various panels that I have in my sewing cupboard from years of collecting, and dates to the 1800's. Seams to be a perfect compliment with the Peony And Sage fabric....don't you think?...

Used as a throw...

And used as a tablecloth...

Yes...those ARE indeed PEONIES on the table!

This piece is now SOLD...but I hope that I've inspired you to do something creative with linen and lace for your own home...
Please go over and visit Peony And Sage....they ship worldwide and you will be so pleased with their fabrics...
