is just a month away! We are going to have a very quiet Thanksgiving in our household, and I want the chance to relax with the family...so we decided to do up our holiday decor this past weekend...

I have been collecting Christmas pieces for as long as I can remember in my adult life and dragged out the boxes of goodies with my theme in mind. Less is more, whites with natural greens, a bit of shabby chic and my French antiques...
Today I'm sharing a few shots from the living room, and will share more of the home bedecking in future posts this week.
A bit of blush...vintage ornaments in an old French light fixture turned upside~down and used as a bowl...
Stocking with antique French fabric loaded with sparkle...
The fresh cut Frasier Fir tree is free of ornaments this year and on a table to keep it puppy friendly...
Pillow that I designed some years ago with an applique Christmas tree on vintage lace
I love to juxtapose elegant furnishings along with shabby pieces, like this old painted pink bench that I've had for a long time...
Fresh greens, simple touches...edit, edit and nothing over the top...
Have a great week...I hope to squeeze another post or two in before Thanksgiving to inspire...

Before I go I wish to thank Kris over at Junk Chic Cottage for featuring an interview with me on her blog this weekend. To visit her blog and learn more about me...please visit that post HERE

Janet

So beautiful Janet... love your pink appliqued pillow... everything looks magical!... as always, my vintage Putz house boxes from you are out... I get soo many visitors looking at those and I am sure many of them email you from my links each year... so happy I was able to get them from your shop when you had them some years back... they are a tradition at our home now!... Happy Thanksgiving to you and of course your sweet pups!... xoxo Julie Marie

How beautiful everything is! I am always in awe of all that you do! You've inspired me to do winter roses instead of my usual poinsettias...can't wait.
