Simple Christmas Decorating At The Beach

Although I’d love to be up at our beach home right about now, work and commitments are keeping us in town. I wanted to share a few ideas…

with some photos that I shot last year, as you can easily add coastal charm to any home with a few simple color accents and accessories…

Aqua, sea mist, ocean blue…these are all colors that if used in a tablescape will bring visions of summer and warmer times. Add a large clamshell and fill with Christmas ornaments in those ocean tones…
A blue throw found at a thrift shop in a color that reminded me of the sea on a stormy day…
A vintage Mason jar filled with seaglass and our every day flatware and a few seashells scattered on the table…
Pale dishes, aqua wine glasses found at Target several years back, napkin rings tied with seashell adornment and white roses in a vintage vase…

I hope that this gives you some fresh ideas from the usual red and white, so “jump” right in and give it a try…
xoxo,
Janet

  1. I love it all. I pinned the idea of the mason jar filled with flatware.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  3. This makes me feel like I'm at the beach. Beautiful and so serene! I love the idea of utensils in the jar. Those of my favorite kinds of jars. Of course, vintage balls are great wherever they are placed.

    BTW, the header is fab!
