Boho Wall Hanging and A Gorgeous Shanty Girl Throw

For the next few days I need to concentrate on finishing up some orders from the WEBSITE and this is a piece that I finally finished up today. It's not a dreamcatcher...rather my interpretation of a boho wall hanging...
The center piece is quite large and it's more like a wreath...and made with...
all vintage millinery, strips of rose print fabric that I macrame, vintage lace strips, boa feathers and old tulle torn into strips. This one is sold, but I do make them through the website and they have been very popular worldwide...off to England here!...
Speaking of England...I received a gorgeous gift from my friend Sherry Hicks of this amazing take on a Union Jack, which she calls a Shanty Jack. I'm in love with the pale colors that Sherry used and it's lined by white denim that is perfect for my shabby style decor...
Close up of some of her yummy fabrics...
And Sherry's label for her Shanty Girl line that she designed. I've posted her candles in a past blog post and she is one talented and generous friend indeed! If you are interested in ordering one of these throws, you can contact me up above and I'll put you in touch...

Have a great week...

I like that they are NOT dream catchers..but rather decorative pieces. We live close to the Native American reservation and they just laugh at the "dream catchers" that are being sold as such. They consider them to be sacred and were used originally to protect the children and filter out bad dreams in their culture. We went to a festival where they were telling the legend behind how they came to be. It can probably be googled somewhere. Anyway...they really dislike the way they have been commercialized.

YOURS are gorgeous-works of art and lovely! Love them!

Sherry does such beautiful work with her jacks, Janet. Such a talented and creative seamstress! Love the colors she chose for yours. ♥ And I adore your wallhanging! It has a beautiful dream catcher quality to it, but the crocheting makes it unique. Beautifully done! [and I sure hope that people aren't laughing at MY dream catchers. I put a lot of time, love, and prayer into each one I create! :)]
