Collecting Series...Vintage Tole Pieces...Beach Cottage Mix

Hello from the beach house one more time!...
I have had an ongoing love affair with tole for many years now, and since I'm a collector with a stash and two places to call home I spread the pieces around and always change it up. Since I've been up here at the beach home for several days posting, I thought that I'd share some of my favorite pieces and ideas of how you can mix and match styles. Rules be gone in my rule book!...

Let's start with lighting, a key element in every room...
I display the white painted tole candelabra in the first photo on the rustic dining table that we made. The pretty shabby chic style chandelier above is in the kitchen dining nook....
In the master bedroom a pair of vintage Italian tole lamps flank the bed and both are topped with simple white linen shades...
Shabby, rustic and glitz mixed? Why not...and this glitzy Italian Tole vintage chandelier sparkles and lights up the rather dark front entry foyer as you enter the door...
And also in that entry area is this vintage tole rose shelf that generally has more on it (like a plant or flowers), but today is a bit bare. All of these pieces were made in Italy around mid-century and all found at estate sales years back in my area. Not as easy to find anymore!...
I've got a "thing" for vintage tole trays and trash cans as well...a vignette in the kitchen dining nook...
And this pretty little vintage trash can resides generally in one of the bedrooms...

An eclectic mix of tole perhaps, but mostly from the same era of production and it all blends well in the beach cottage style that I love!...
