Romantic Floral Lifestyle Photography…Persuing Passions…And A Giveaway Winner

Peony season is here and so short lived, and since they are impossible to grow this far south they are factored into the budget to purchase. I’ve been working on something special that I can’t share right now, but…

will share a few photos that I shot this afternoon while I had a bit of precious time for something I love to do…
Lifestyle photography has become a huge passion of mine over the last few years and I enjoy shooting interiors and flowers. The challenges of gaining expertise with the camera and lenses are endless and enjoying. Goals aren’t too lofty, just to improve daily. It’s much more of a challenge than capturing images with a smart phone, although those are fun and convenient for my Instagram feed…
There definitely isn’t a ton of money to be made with lifestyle work, and although I’ve dabbled…portraiture just doesn’t grab me in the same way as shooting a beautiful flower arrangement or an inspiring room setting…
As I get older the more that I wish to devote as much time as possible to following those passions. It becomes more important than ever to stay true as an artist. I only compete with myself and test my own eye and skills. No compromises, kissing up or selling out…
Every day is truly a gift. I find that I have been spending less aimless time surfing the net or on social media pursuits and more working with what I love. And with family and friends…
I am extremely grateful for each day and find beauty wherever I can. Eyes wide open…
Thank you to all who entered the SHABBYFUFU Ruffled Throw Giveaway! The winner of that GIVEAWAY is Victoria

Beautiful photography! Peonies are one of my favorite flowers. I have a few in my garden, but they are still in bud. Can't wait till they bloom and I can bring a bouquet indoors!
