Simple Summer Mantel With Texture
With the cleaning going on of the items that I rescued from the condo renovation last week I came across this vintage…
wicker picnic or wine basket. It gave me the impetus to clear off the mantel in our master bedroom and do a bit of summer styling today. For summer I’m keeping it simple and always with florals.
So much can be achieved by using florals and textures for interesting vignettes.
I decided to use some old frames that I had painted a few years ago behind the floral arrangements.
One in pink and a fabulous French frame in grey.
This basket has a warm honey finish that looks lovely with the peonies. I’ve placed the peonies in some bottles inside filled with water (of course).
And you can never go wrong with Mason jars for floral arranging.
Speaking of Mason jars, I’ll be working on a couple of new chandelier orders for clients and I’ll share those with you soon.
Love the fresh and clean look!
Nothing like decorating with Ball Jars and flowers. Love the chippy frame too. Your mantles are always pretty.
So beautiful Janet, love your flowers and detail photos !!! Enjoy your day ! xoxo

Beautiful! Love the empty frame, I know I have a couple somewhere…I need to hunt them down:)
OMG, Janet, we are so on the same page with our mantles. Yesterday I scheduled a post for next Tuesday about mason jars and greenery on my mantle. I love blue mason jars and have collected several over the years. I have a picnic basket that I may have to bring out. Great idea as always.
This post is 4 years old Carol, but mason jars are so timeless and definitely always a pretty accent!
