The Beauty Of Beadboard and Old Wood

I have a long standing love affair with beadboard. The old shelf above did not start out looking like this, and was transformed in under a half hour by…

adding beadboard to the back this past weekend. The slats are tongue and groove which we cut to the size of the back of the shelf and nailed on the backside all around. I then grabbed a can of Rustoleum Heirloom White spray paint from The Home Depot and gave it a quick spritz in place.

This is the “before”…sorry, no working shots but it was super easy and fast…and the shelf was free from a good friend…

  2. Love beadboard and old plank wood. These are beautiful as well as all of your decor. I just love your style. My daughter is adding large plank beadboard to their bath. I'll do a post when it's done.

  3. Our master bath and guest bath are beadboard from floor to 10' ceilings – and I just love it. I love the vintage look it added to your sweet cabinet, Janet. And that blue, chippy one is absolutely adorable.
