A Little Late...Thanksgiving At The Beach House

While everyone is posting about Christmas decorating I'm going backwards a few days to show you what was happening around my house for Thanksgiving. Actually this was at the beach house, and I love to set a great table so wanted to share a few shots of that...
Maybe you can take some inspiration from this table setting to use in your own. You don't need a holiday to pull out all the stops...do it often and make your days a bit more special!...

Since we aren't at the beach house full time I packed a few things to bring up and use there from home, like my sterling flatware, Mason jars and the velvet pumpkins...
I may or may not have brought the flowers from home as well:~))...
We received a huge arrangement from a client at the house and I took them up to fill not only the Mason jars on the beach house dining table, but flowers in the guest rooms too. I love having fresh flowers throughout the house when possible and it's so appreciated by guests as well...
I painted the Mason jars with copper paint and sprayed gold glitter on them. The brown transferware was a recent find at an estate clean out, which I talked about HERE...
I placed a grainsack runner on the table which I made by simply cutting the two sides of the old European grain sack and running a line of FrayCheck down each side. The napkins are an antique set from my collection and are tied with some twine that I found in the kitchen drawer and added a sprig of greenery. Necessity is definitely the mother of invention in last minute, out of town styling!...
Do you see the glittered acorns? I brought a bag full of them home the last time that I was in Texas (a few weeks ago) and knew that they would look great with some silver German glass glitter. One of the guests was pretty wowed by them and that was cool, since they were free. They are HUGE Burr acorns, seen in my daughter's hand below for size...
I don't normally do dark flowers, but lately I've been drawn to them for some reason. They look great with the greenery and give a nice feel to the setting I think...
Another November has come and gone and I'm loosening the belt after this past Thanksgiving weekend, feeling grateful to have celebrated with family and friends...
A glimpse of Christmas started above and more to come as I join in a couple of blog hop parties later on this week...
Thank you to all who have read our new digital magazine Romantic Lifestyle! We are truly blown away by your support, your sharing, your kind comments and your friendship...
