Shabbyfufu Christmas Home Tour 2014…Part Two

Today I’m sharing my dining room discreetly dressed for the holiday season, and it’s likely to change as the month rolls along! The photo above is a simple touch.
and I’m trying to use restraint and not get carried away. Not always easy because I’m a long time collector as you know…but have been paring down and storing whatever I am not using at the moment.

A sweet little vignette on the buffet showing off a French jar filled with faux snow and a vintage deer and topped off with a French tip plate.
Looking in to the dining room from the living room is a branch tree. I found this on my neighbor’s front lawn, and it’s actually a very large seed pod (like…5ft tall large!) that fell from their Royal Palm Tree. My husband thought that I truly flipped when I dragged it over here and lightly spray painted it white:~)
The dining room…with a faux white (yellowed) tree rescued from the landfill…all of the non~working lights cut off and spray painted several shades of green. On the mirror is a fresh boxwood wreath from Trader Joes.
Don’t you love how festive everything looks in the holiday season? Fresh florals really add that little pop of color to the table, set with only a vintage red striped grain sack runner.

Glitz and ironstone, porcelain sweater embossed cups, and the green bottles are simply glass water bottles with the labels washed off.
