Beach House Weekend...Random Photos To Warm You Up

With the gorgeous weather here in Florida at the moment, we are trying to head up to the beach house as often as we can on weekends to relax. It was a bit "chilly" and windy, which is a treat for us:~))
The light pours into the big sets of sliding doors from the east in the morning and heats up the rooms naturally.

If I had to define the style here...

I would say that it's similar to our Miami home...a mix of casual elegance, shabby chic and French with a small dose of coastal mixed in...

Everything was done on a budget with lots of vintage from yard sales etc...and things that we DIY'ed, nothing expensive...
Darby and Bartley chilling out propped up on pillows in typical Cavalier fashion...
The beach at sunset on Saturday evening and I did not edit this image. Amazing colors to the sky and sea!
We did a fair share of exploring and looking at the various homes in the area for inspiration and to get some ideas for exterior paint colors. This home on the beach is a huge mansion, a bit on the gaudy side actually...but this particular stretch of beach is one of our favorites...
A new home for sale, and we are considering the aqua color of the front door for ours. Front door color is one of the hardest decisions I think that you have to make as a homeowner!
Via iPhone... shots from our new form of working out that I'm calling "bridge~ercise". We have no mountains here in Florida and the inclines of a high bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway add that extra cardio oomph to a morning walk or run...
It's a good life at the beach and someday we hope to be up there permanently. For now, we take what we can get and getaway from the hustle and bustle...

Stay warm my friends!

It's been 6 degrees all week here - 32 being freezing, so it's way colder than freezer......and snowing....and I so needed this virtual visit to your beautiful beach life. *Sigh* I feel better already. I am ready for spring.l

The peeks of your home is gorgeous.

Beautiful pictures! Our families both live in Florida and owning a beach house someday is our dream. My mom walks the bridge near her house for a bit of an incline as well. Thanks for the beach photos today.

what a wonderful post!
It's amazing to think there actually is a place like this just a few hours south of the frozen tundra we are experiencing here in Michigan...lol.
Enjoy.
