In The Shop...and A Little Peek

I hope that you had a great weekend!

We were up at the beach house and I finally got around to doing some shopping and sorting for the shop. Above are just a few things...I'm calling it my Summer Stuff Sale!
There will be more "non~beachy" pieces as well, coming soon and several pieces that I brought back from France...
Above is one of my favorites and it's actually something that I DIY'd! It's just been added and you can see it all HERE. Most of the vintage pieces have Free U.S. shipping and I'm working on making the rest of the vintage category work that as well:-)...
I love this vintage McCoy pottery planter and it's listed in the shop.

Random...but I have been reading that if you use the spice Alum when you cut fresh hydrangeas it keeps them fresh longer. Since reading that I've been on the hunt for some in the grocery stores that I frequent, but alas no success. I researched Alum to find out that it's basically a salt based stabilizer and decided to try using some salt fixative that I have in my studio for dying and dye painting fabric. Guess what...it worked!! These hydrangeas are a week old and look fresher than the day that I bought them at the market!...
A syphon or siphon (depending upon where you are from) or seltzer bottle...depending upon your lingo:~) I collect them and love to display them...and this one is now in the SHOP.
Maybe you know that I love aqua and maybe I am in love with blue...and although this isn't beachy it is blue! I picked this vintage enamelware body pitcher up in France and it's listed as well...
Please join me tomorrow (Tuesday) for a wonderful Summer Open House Tour as the blogs from the bHome app will be sharing GORGEOUS homes every day this week and a great giveaway!
A little peek (without giving too much away) of the mantel in the master bedroom. My own home tour is on tap for TOMORROW and no surprise that you'll be seeing some BLUE! See you tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. sharp for the tour and a cup of coffee...
