Color By Throw

You know how just adding one thing like a scarf can really change out the entire look of your outfit? That's one of my favorite ways to dress in both my personal style and home. This past weekend you might have just found me...

pretty much dressed in a bathing suit, since we were off visiting family at a lakehouse that we rented in the hill country on the outskirts of Austin. What a view!

Back to work and home design and photo shoots this week and I've been rearranging in the living room. It's the dead of summer with every day all day rains in South Florida and I've been decluttering and just keeping it white to reflect the light...

Small touches for color, like the white ruffled throw and some mercury glass vases. Empty for a minimalist simplicity...

Since we sell these throws in the SHOP, I do have them in every color and will often "throw" one on a chair or sofa. One color completely changes the look...

Blush pink and an apricot velvet pin tuck pillow are all that's needed today to infuse sunshine, as there is none to be found through the windows...

A little sparkle with a trio of vintage Florentine nesting tables and French vanilla ruffles...

Recently relocated from the patio is this vintage wrought iron plant stand with scrolly lines and the great patina of rust. Juxtaposing rust with bling crystal lighting repurposed for display. It works for me every time...

Speaking of repurposing...I have some great ideas for you over on my other blog this week, so check out the inspo HERE...
