Shopping For Throws and Some Sources

My little photo bomber Bartley sitting on the window seat behind the sofa as I worked on a photo shoot for an upcoming project while it was pouring rain outside. He's a curious one and definitely the leader of the pack of our doggie family of three!

More about my project later, but I went shopping at Homegoods in search of a couple of new throws to curl up and wrap up for relaxing in and found this faux fur beauty that fits in nicely with my neutral decor...

Homegoods is always my go~to source when I'm looking for home decor accents and generally I find what I am seeking (and more:~). This rack was filled with white and cream throws and I considered that furry babe in the front of the rack but the one that I settled on was more in tune with my aesthetic...

I have throws in every room and even keep one in my car! The sweater throw on the bench above is from Pottery Barn and sees a lot of use around here.

As for the bedding, it's a combination of lots of pieces from various sources including Target (more photos on THIS post) and ever changing pretty much daily. Sometimes I feel like a ruffle and sometimes I don't...

The ruffled throw above is from the SHOP and it's lightweight and I mostly use the lightweight shop throws for an accent on the sofa or on chairs. You can find them HERE in a variety of colors...

I'm going to admit that I've been slacking off on the SHOP the last few months, as I've been doing many other things. I've been selling on~line since the 1990's and actually have been considering taking a more permanent shop break, will see...

Some of you had asked for the source on the Pottery Barn white slipcovered sofas that we recently purchased for the beach house that I talked about HERE...

I ordered the Comfort Roll Arm Slipcovered Sofa and Loveseat in a white washable twill with the down blend cushions.  We haven't had them for long enough to give you a wear report, but we do have some Pottery Barn arm chairs in my husband's den/office at the beach house and they are at least 10 years old and have held up perfectly. My own feeling is that I'd rather save up for quality when it comes to sofas and beds and watch for them to go on sale when I'm ready to buy. They were on sale and my husband signed up for the mailing list, so received an additional 15% off the sale price...

If you haven't seen my home shoot in the November issue of Romantic Homes magazine yet it does seem to be on all of the newstands right now. I hope that you pick it up if you are seeking holiday inspiration...it's filled with a whole bunch!
Thanks for stopping by today...
