French Decor Style | Rustic Christmas Glam
French decor style is timeless and for Christmas it’s easy to transform your home with rustic and glam elements to create a unique look.
As I write this post I think that I’m pretty much finished with Christmas decorating and am up at our beach home and will be here for another week, so I feel pretty good about getting so much accomplished already!
Every year I change things up around the home for the holidays and although the look is expensive I shop very little. When I do buy a few new things it’s with a careful eye and thoughts of reusing what I purchase in other ways and sometimes for other seasons.
Like the stunning Park Hill lanterns that I purchased a few months ago and talked about filled with…books and something else…HERE
Lanterns are one of my go to’s for decorating and I do use them for candles as well…like the lantern below that I’ll be sharing soon on another post.
The mantel is simple with a French country elegant theme, similar to my fall mantel. I cleared all of the autumn items off and added a faux greenery wreath that I found online and there are so many to choose from with a realistic look…
I added in the pinecones and the lights and some additional faux cedar garland. We don’t have the kind of greenery for the most part in South Florida for cutting and using for holiday adorning, and since I did all of this too early for the stores to have fresh…faux was the way to go.
Admittedly I love the fact that you can use it year after year, so in the end it costs less. I’ll be filling it in with fresh cuttings from the tree lot once I’m back in town.
I did lightly FLOCK EVERYTHING and that really gives it that winter look I was going for.
The Merry Christmas glitter garland, faux fur stockings and all of the wrapping paper goodies are from Target.com …since I know that you would ask. They have really been knocking it out of the park this holiday season:~}
