Beach House Coastal Christmas 2015 & HGTV

coastal beach christmas

Coming off a long holiday weekend with our family and some friends up at the beach house, and I’m spending the day cleaning and getting ready to leave tomorrow for an exciting event that I can’t wait to report to you from! Speaking of sharing, if you haven’t yet been over to the Christmas Ideas Blog Tour with 28 fabulous bloggers, you’ll find the corrected links on my previous post

At the beach house we put up a small faux tree this year and the girls did all of the decorating with a few things that I brought up from home. We are keeping it simple here and the tree is prelit, so that made it easy with just some vintage aqua tinsel garland, a few non~breakable ornaments in sea tones, some silver beaded garland and a couple of starfish, pinecones and seashells. I’ll snap some more detailed photos soon…
By the way, I’m happy to report that the Pottery Barn White Slipcovered Sofas held up very well to the partying, occasional sleeping:~}, dogs and merriment!
I love having a tree in here during the holiday season and some greens on the dining table…
white ranunculus christmas tree
I haven’t purchased any flowers since we drove up here, but I brought a bouquet of my favorite white ranunculus from home. I have to tell you that I LOVE ordering flowers from The Bouqs and have a special discount code that you can use there for your own first purchase…
Just a few seashell garlands, an aqua candle with a boxwood wreath used as a candle ring and fresh flowers on the coffee table…
This table sits opposite the sofa area and serves as a catch~all of sorts for magazines and some assorted beach pieces…etc. I probably need to edit it down some and I will, but for now I draped white tinsel garland. Just a quick holiday touch…
The evergreen branches were clipped from a tree along the beach and yes…I did find that pretty cool buoy out there as well after a storm…
I shot this a couple of evenings ago as the sun was beginning to set and the seas were stormy with the sky all shades of an amazing pink!
And…here is where I’ll be heading to tomorrow with a couple other bloggers, and actually it’s just a short drive from where I am now…

  1. All beautiful, Janet. I grew up near the coast, but we never did a seaside theme. I like your aqua touches.
