Why I Love A White Bedroom

I had a couple of little photo bombers today, as these two follow me everywhere and love to watch me work. Just ignore any stray dog fur that you see in the photos because with three dogs there is always some on everything, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Today I’m talking about why I love white bedding and those dogs

are part of my reasoning. I always get so much flack when I post pictures on social media about my white home decor, especially over on the Shabbyfufu Facebook page. I’m here to tell you that white is the best color to live with and I’ve always been a staunch supporter! Bleach, Oxyclean and the sun can take out any stain and I generally don’t even need them or use a gentler non chlorine bleach on anything white. No worries…even on the WHITE TUFTED HEADBOARD that I’ve had for several years now!

Here is how the master bedroom generally appears…all white for a summer look. I have a real “thing” for linens as you may or may not know and love to accent with flowers. This morning I went for a neighborhood walk and clipped the blue florals from an overgrown lot {where no one is living, ok?!!}}. A perfect pop…of my favorite accent color…

Digging into my stash, I tossed a navy blue throw and chevron pillow on and love the way that it looks with the white headboard, ruffled accents and the sheets, duvet and pillowcases…

Darby and Bartley are super cozy and ready to nod off…

It’s so easy to just grab a pillow and the room changes and this one with a paisley in turquoise gives a nice contrast and counterbalance to some of the frills. If you enjoy frills or ruffles and have a man that shares the room, try adding something more modern or less frou frou to the mix so he doesn’t feel left out:~}}
