Ultimate Highlights of High Point Market

high point market fall 2016

Hi friends. A have a wrap up post, based on my whirlwind time spent at High Point Market this fall with the Design Bloggers Tour . It was such an honor for me to be chosen once again and I came away with so many ideas for future projects!

Seeing styles trends and inspiration coming straight from the showrooms is like being a kid in a candy store for this girl, who has always been design obsessed. Did I ever tell you that I decorated my parent’s homes for them and my room as a kiddo too? Today I’m sharing a scattering of my favorite pieces, places, moments and fun tossed in the mix. Come visit for a moment with me…

table lucite gold glass

Moments of modern were evident in every showroom, and this glass and gold end table from Ambella Home had a stylish vibe with an x base and lucite legs. Albeit modern, this would work well in any decor style and glass tables give a room an airy open feel.

Lucite was trending and is making a huge comeback and on another table from Ambella Home the details of the design are everything and set it apart from your run of the mill.

I just might be ever so slightly obsessed with texture and in a neutral room it’s a necessity! Note the texture of the fabric juxtaposed against the sleek mid century modern legs with the gold crossbar. And that herringbone rug.
Genius mix!

This shot may not look like much, but I learned so much about the texture put onto various furniture pieces and this tabletop was given a hand applied ceruse finish, giving it great depth. It’s impressive to learn that quite a few of the showrooms and furniture companies are generations old, based in the U.S. in and around High Point, N.C. and hold on to the family values that businesses are based on.

Speaking of family values of another sort…if you are a history buff or Anglophile then you might recognize and enjoy this quick video of the Earl Of Spencer chatting about his family home and line for the Theodore Alexander showroom.

As always, lots of bling and these chandeliers from Eichholtz caught every bit of light available to reflect. They had a stunning collection and are true TRENDSETTERS in the industry…NOT trend followers.

Stunning showrooms showcasing textures and patterns and something for every taste and all designers. You had me at huge pink button tufted ottomans covered in Crypton Fabric!
