Fall Table Setting With Copper

Fall table setting with copper and ideas for incorporating metallics in your autumn decorating and entertaining. An abundant fall table doesn’t need to be defined by food! I love an elegant table covered in copper and velvet pumpkins and as always I have some tips for you to achieve a luxe look in your own style!

Fall Table Setting With Copper

We serve our Thanksgiving meal buffet style in our home and set everything up at the kitchen island for guests to help themselves. I just really prefer entertaining that way in general, keeping the food off of the table and on our plates only to be eaten and savored!

Conversation seems to flow that way and not focus on necessarily the foods being offered, but what’s on the plate and everyone and everything surrounding us. Think about it…and perhaps try it if you don’t eat this way when you host in YOUR HOME!
For Thanksgiving this year it’s going to be about metallics, which are on trend…yet metallic isn’t trendy because it’s been in our homes and lives since the dawn of time! To me that’s a great way to add elegance and you can add just a smidge or an abundance of shine…as I did today.

Thank you to our good friends at Barn Light Electric for graciously sponsoring this post.

Copper is a warm metal and has an almost red – orange hue to it and with the right look it can look almost pink! It’s a raw metal that is used as a conductor of heat and electricity and in building materials and sculpture. If you’ve never cooked with copper pans, they are fabulous and highly recommended! Today my copper bowls are holding metallic and silk velvet pumpkins on the Thanksgiving table, just for a festive and whimsical touch!

fall metallics

I’ve lined up my SET of FIVE COPPER NESTING BOWLS that you’ll find from BARN LIGHT ELECTRIC and decided to fill them with complementary hues. I have other copper in my cooking and serving arsenal and love how easy it is to use and to clean. These are heavy solid hand – spun bowls of solid copper and I’ll be using them often for whipping up eggs and for serving too.

I’ve added some Moscow Mule mugs for drinking cold beverages, pink wine coupes, modern gold and white flatware and glistening pink mercury glass votives and it all just works!

gold leafed vintage candelabra

A rustic vintage GOLD LEAF CANDELABRA that I rescued from a thrift proves that you can mix old and new, shiny and rustic and it makes for a perfect marriage. I showed you how to transform this candlebra from BLAH to GORGEOUS and I use this on the dining table often.

Pink and copper and gold…see how they all just go together like peanut butter and jelly or apple pie and ice cream? The latter of which I’ll definitely be serving for Thanksgiving this year!

Glitzy and yet organic and I love how on these COPPER BOWLS you actually see the hand – turned striation marks and that they are made in the USA like all of BARN LIGHT ELECTRIC’S products.

A layer of stacked plates as per usual on my table and I talked about styling and mixing place settings earlier THIS WEEK. Delicate pale pink antique Limoges china plates are probably the most favorite and special dishes that I have.

A little bit of a glow from the light outside and a large vintage copper bucket that is a family heirloom. Thanksgiving IS all about family and celebrating after all and I’m wishing you and your’s a wonderful celebration ahead!
