Elegant Blush Pink on the Dining Room Holiday Tree

Today I’m sharing a look at my dining room set up for the holiday season with some touches of nostalgia and bits of blush, as in pink! Although I’ve definitely toned things down over the years, I still do love some feminine touches and I’m really excited to be partnering up today with TREE CLASSICS who sent me this stunning tree for the HOLIDAY HOUSEWALK with some of my blog friends.
Our dining room is open to the kitchen, family room, living room and when you walk into the front door…

it’s the first thing that you see down the foyer. Then there is the swimming pool just beyond the French doors, and it’s not necessarily the ideal layout…but for an older home it works for us.

The open concept means everyone can gather and mix and mingle, and when weather permits we fling open the French doors and continue the gathering to the pool area. Gathering is what it’s all about to us during the holiday season and this DELUXE NOBLE FIR SNAP TREE sparkles and shines in the room with so many beautiful lights!

I’ve set the table for dinner with some of my favorite china, elegant stemware and a pop of pink with the pink pinecones that I dipped in paint and glittered. My daughter said to me the other day that she thinks I’ve had those pinecones for 20 years now, and although that might be a slight exaggeration on her part it’s been a long time and I save them to use over and over again. I’ve added more BLUSH PINK with the MERCURY GLASS CANDLE HOLDERS

A recycled and repurposed wreath hung from the mirror with silk ribbon that I hand painted in a blush pink, just like the ribbon on the chair backs.

Never one to leave things be without adding my own touches, I gave the tree a very light spritz with a SNOW SPRAY that isn’t really flocking…but tones things down. I had the wreath from a previous Christmas and sprayed it lightly with COPPER METALLIC. I also added the pink silk poinsettias that are vintage and from a church rummage sale I happened to pass and stop at years back. I’m just a huge fan of vintage and can’t help but having this stuff find me!

The DELUXE NOBLE FIR SNAP TREE that I received has color changing LED LIGHTS, but I’m a total fan of white lights and I set it to not change color on the handy foot pedal. My husband loves the COLORED LIGHTS and shot this with his iPhone in the morning and loves the glow:-)

This year I was truly blessed to receive 3 Christmas trees from different sources and I’ll have to say that the tree from TREE CLASSICS with the SNAP TECHNOLOGY was the easiest to set up. As in…5 minutes from box to dining room. If you are looking for something that you can handle and store you might want to check it out since it comes with a rolling stand for storage. I love that…

I talked about the GOLD LEAF CANDELABRA before and gave a tutorial on how to do the look. Wish me luck because I’m going to try this technique on an old BAR CART that I have.

The tree is so nice and full and was easy to fluff up. I added THESE ORNAMENTS that Tree Classics sent, a few of my own (not many needed:-), some Victorian style vintage garland that I had and a few vintage picks and pinecones.

The LED lights have an elegant glow and my husband turns them on with the foot pedal first thing in the morning so that I can enjoy them when I’m drinking my morning coffee. Below you can see some of the ornaments closer up and…the big round circles are coasters that are glittered in gold. Getting creative with a tree is such fun for me every year!

  1. Cathy Garrett says:

Hello where did you get your Christmas tree? Is it flocked ?

    1. It is linked in the article Cathy and I added a bit of spray flocking to it.

  2. I love the pinecone idea. I just painted a little group of ceramic houses white and am in the process of adding pink, rose pink, gold and some snow back to make them sweet and vintage. I have almost no red in my house, including Christmas. I love the pastel look and the transition from autumn into the Christmas holiday is so much smoother.
