Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic at The Prairie – Part Two
Be prepared for more eye candy from Rachel Ashwell’s “The Prairie” today, as my daughter and I were lucky enough to have the place pretty much all to ourselves for snooping around:-). That being said, there were guests staying in all of the lovely cottages, so I didn’t feel right in taking photos of the outsides while occupied and possibly invading their privacy.
Here is your mini tour, photos in no particular order but I’ll caption some for more info if you don’t have Rachel’s latest book or haven’t seen these yet. My shots were fast, furious and obviously not styled, but you can still get a glimpse of the beauty and flexibility of furnishings like these that are constantly moved around as need be…
Intriguing paper mannequin with Rachel’s logo.
The working kitchen…can you die?
Ready for guests to dine.
Amazing cabinet and mood board topper.
Not so shabby vintage crepe wedding bells.
Of course lots of chandeliers.
Pearl the mascot and Danny were out and about working.
That Hungarian cabinet that Rachel adores (who wouldn’t!) was actually moved into the powder room in The Pearl Barn temporarily. The color here is more the actual color of the piece than in the book. LOVE.
Office awesomeness.
Little Houses On The Prairie:-))
I’ll be back soon with a quick preview post about my home shoot.
Love that turquoise cupboard. Lovely photos.
How fun for you and your daughter to visit The Prairie and chat with Rachel again… love her book and seeing your photos too… also love seeing Pearl!… how fun you met her and Danny too… the kitchen is fabulous!… and so is Danny's old truck… excited for your photo shoot of homes… xoxo Julie Marie
Beautiful photos, Janet! What a lovely opportunity to shoot such a gorgeous property! Let's see, my home magazine worthy? Honey, my home isn't even telephone book worthy! LOL! xoxo, Leena
Looks like a wonderful place to visit…so much visual interest.
I'd love for you to come to my home so I could see it through your eyes and lens, but afraid I'm too far away:-(
